What’s in Grandma’s Attic? HIS—Historical Scene Investigation! Become history detectives as you discover clues to the past in the “junk” in Grandma’s attic. Each day brings new objects and mysteries to be solved, things to use and to play with—photographs, games, toys, clothing, arts and craft supplies—there is so much to discover about life in Grandma’s times! Chautauqua—Acting OUT Kids can be real characters! Based on the Chautauqua of the 1800s, you will bring history to life by recreating an historical character. There are acting exercises, readers’ theater and time to develop costumes and props as well. Be prepared also for visits by historical characters portrayed by our professional actor. Families are invited to an informal presentation on the last day. 100 Year in Fun! In only five days you will travel through the 20th Century experiencing “pastimes” in past times! Enjoy recreation, indoor and outdoor games, foods, crafts and holiday celebrations and many other everyday activities from every decade of this great century. |
