Mother & Daughter Tea

The History Center has many amazing upcoming programs, one of which is our Mother & Daughter Tea. This event will take place on May 19th at 2:00 PM. Please note that seating for this event has filled up, and that we are SOLD OUT. The Mother & Daughter Tea is a fun opportunity for mothers and daughters to dress up, crook their pinkies while eating tiny sandwiches, sipping tea, and spending quality time together. Enjoy a presentation on table etiquette from long-long ago, participate in silly table games, take pictures at a photo booth and more. Seating is limited, and tickets must be purchased in advance. From local museums to authors and even politicians, C-Span's Cities Tour program featured a lot about our great City. And just this past weekend, all that work came to fruition this past weekend with the airing of the Cities Tour program featuring Cedar Rapids. One section of the program was a brief history of Cedar Rapids with The History Center's own Linn County Historian Mark Stoffer Hunter.
