Poetry Book Reading - LD Kidd

WHEN: POSTPONED - a new date will be released soon. TIME: 10:00 am. WHERE: The History Center (800 2nd Ave SE) This event is free and open to the public. Paper Planes is a compilation of 20 years of life's struggles, loves lost & found, and my never-ending pursuit to be known. Lovar Davis Kidd is an Iowa native. He began his journey as a poet in "1992" and has continued to write and perform his work throughout the United States as well as overseas. When not writing, L.D. is the proud father of Myles & Kohen, a poet, author, dance educator, improviser, musician, yogi, massage therapist, and antagonist to all ne'er-do-wellers.

Artist Meet & Greet - Lisa Oberreuter POSTPONED

POSTPONED - a new date will be released soon! Join us April 10th as we welcome Lisa Oberreuter to showcase her beautiful artwork at The History Center. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments and a cash bar will be available.

Skywalk Tour - South Route POSTPONED

WHEN: POSTPONED - a new date will be released soon! TIME: 1:00 p.m. WHERE: Please meet on the 2nd floor of the Cedar Rapids Public Library. Explore the South Route of the Downtown Cedar Rapids Skywalk system starting from the Cedar Rapids Public Library. This route focuses on viewing areas along Fourth and Fifth Avenue SE between the train tracks and the Cedar River from the special viewpoint of the skywalk system. This tour showcasing architecture and history features sections of the Wholesale District as well as areas redeveloped over the past 35 years that are not seen on the North Route Skywalk Tour. The tour starts and ends on the second floor of the Cedar Rapids Public Library. Tour
