Iowa's Misbehaving Women

Friday, March 1st is The History Center's event Iowa's Misbehaving Women. Author Cheryl Mullenbach has uncovered the stories of some of the state's intriguing women and invites you to meet these heroic, amusing, imaginative, nervy individuals.

Examples of women that you might not know about are Emma Harvat, Iowa City's first female mayor, and Helen Hayes Gleason, Coe graduate who served in World War II.

Although history may have forgotten these misbehaving women, we'll take time to remember.

The program begins at 6:00 PM, with a pre-reception starting at 5:30 PM and a post reception at 7:00 PM. Seating is limited so be sure to secure your ticket today!

Cost to attend is $5 for History Center Members and $7 for the general public.

You can purchase your tickets online HERE, over the phone at (319)362-1501, or at the door.
