Tuesday, August 29, 2023

After serving in the US Navy during World War II on the USS New Orleans, Myron “Mike” Wilson joined Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids as a test equipment engineer in 1951. His career included an array of positions—among them, he was the manufacturing program manager for the initial build of the ARC-58, put together the first quality assurance program organization for the company, and served as group director of production operations in the avionics division—before his retirement from Rockwell Collins in 1990. His list of volunteer and philanthropic contributions to the community is long and varied, including ongoing lead support of The History Center’s award-winning Oral Histories LIVE! program.
