Cultures in Bloom

Linn County is home to vibrant cultural celebrations that honor the heritage of its communities. From the lively St. Patrick’s Day Parade organized by SaPaDaPaSo to the Czech-inspired traditions of St. Joseph’s Day and Houby Days, these festivities bring people together through shared history, music, food, and fun. St. Patrick’s Day paints the city green in Irish pride, while St. Joseph’s Day fills Czech Village with red in honor of its patron saint. Houby Days celebrates the Czech love of mushrooms with contests, dancing, and traditional delicacies. These annual events continue to preserve and showcase the rich cultural roots of Cedar Rapids.
